In VYEPTI clinical trials:
The most common side effects of VYEPTI in the clinical trials were stuffy nose and scratchy throat, and allergic reactions.
Clinical trials are the way researchers learn how well VYEPTI works in a controlled setting. After clinical trials, researchers continue learning from people using VYEPTI in everyday life.
This real-world data often comes from things like surveys or medical records. It’s not as strict as a clinical trial, so this information is not proof that VYEPTI works. But it can help support the results of the clinical trials and gives a helpful look at how VYEPTI is being used by real people, in real life.
The information below comes from this kind of real-world data.
Because of the way these data were collected, we cannot make any conclusions about how well VYEPTI works based on these results.
Survey goal
Understand people's satisfaction with VYEPTI in the real world outside of a clinical trial.
People who took the survey
94 people diagnosed with chronic migraine. 52% of people were receiving VYEPTI for a year or more. All patients tried other preventive treatments for migraine before receiving VYEPTI and could be on other medications.
Survey responses
Based on patients' memories of their experiences before starting VYEPTI. Relying on memory of past events may enhance the results, and your experience may be different than described.
80% said they were satisfied with VYEPTI's ability to reduce symptom severity
Answers ranged from strongly disagree/disagree to strongly agree/agree. A person was counted as "satisfied" if they answered they strongly agree or agree with each statement about being satisfied with VYEPTI's abilities.
76% said they were satisfied with VYEPTI's ability to reduce symptom frequency
Answers ranged from strongly disagree/disagree to strongly agree/agree. A person was counted as "satisfied" if they answered they strongly agree or agree with each statement about being satisfied with VYEPTI's abilities.
86% reported improvement in brain fog
74 of the 94 study patients said they had experienced brain fog (feeling confused, having difficulty learning/remembering, or having trouble speaking/reading) and were asked to rate the level of improvement, if any, during the treatment period. Results shown include slight, moderate, or significant improvement. There was no opportunity in this study for patients to report new or worsened brain fog while on VYEPTI; therefore, the results shown may overrepresent actual improvement during treatment.
Images above feature real VYEPTI patients who were compensated for their time. These patients did not participate in the survey.
