VYEPTI (eptinezumab-jjmr) is a preventive treatment for migraine designed to be given as an intravenous (IV) infusion so it can start working quickly—as early as the first day after treatment. VYEPTI is given at your doctor’s office or at a clinic that specializes in IV treatment, called an infusion center. You’ll have a nurse or other healthcare provider by your side to answer any questions and help make the process easier.

Before starting VYEPTI, talk to your doctor about any other medications you may be taking. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effect that bothers you or that does not go away.

VYEPTI IV TREATMENT TIPS

Before your IV treatment

  • Drink plenty of water leading up to your IV treatment
  • Get a good night’s sleep
  • Prepare for your treatment the night before. Put what you need for your appointment, like a good book or a loose sweater, into a bag so you can grab it on your way out the door
  • Make sure you know how to get to your IV treatment appointment—it may be at a different place than your doctor’s office

The day of your IV treatment

  • Dress comfortably: Sleeves should be loose enough to roll up above your elbows. And bring extra layers—some clinics might be chilly.
  • Your infusion will take about 30 minutes, but your appointment time may vary. It’s your time to sit back, relax, and pass the time however you like.
